My professional experiences below showcase my ability to bring ideas to life, whether it’s creating MVPs from scratch or launching brand-new projects within established companies. From initial concept to building and leading teams around these initiatives, I have consistently delivered results that drive impact. While these examples highlight my capabilities in professional settings, my personal projects offer an even deeper glimpse into my creativity and passions.
This startup began as CollisionSync, a platform providing e-commerce solutions for manufacturers and distributors. I directed the development and deployment of these e-commerce sites, contributing to the company’s growth as a team of around 10 employees.
As a side project, we launched OrderPigeon, a system designed to synchronize inventory, orders, and shipments between dropship vendors and e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, eBay, and the stores we built with CollisionSync. The initial version of OrderPigeon, developed by a contractor, was highly inefficient and barely functional. I took the initiative to rewrite the service, implementing PHP batch processes and building a user-friendly interface around it.
OrderPigeon's success transformed our business. It outperformed competitors, ultimately driving HubLogix, a rival in the space, out of business. The two companies later merged, and our name became HubLogix. Shortly after, the CEO relocated the company to Boston for personal reasons, leading to my departure. Approximately one year later, HubLogix was successfully acquired by ChannelAdvisor, which later got acquired by CommerceHub, which was one of the integration points.
OrderPigeon: Designed and developed a powerful service for merchants managing dropship operations and large product catalogs (typically 100,000+ SKUs). The platform synchronizes inventory levels, processes orders, and tracks shipments across suppliers and e-commerce platforms, including Amazon, eBay, and Magento. Integrated with over 50 vendors and 10 order channels, OrderPigeon facilitated the shipment of 750,000+ orders, generating nearly $100 million in revenue.
CatalogSync: Designed and developed a product content management system that powers ETL processes for extracting, transforming, and loading product data between vendors and e-commerce platforms. Optimized the system to achieve a load speed of 300,000 products per hour into Magento. Using CatalogSync, I enabled the seamless integration of vendor data for 15 manufacturer and distributor e-commerce sites, ensuring high reliability and scalability. Additionally, executed data projects for various clients, generating over $100,000 in revenue while maintaining peak ETL performance.
Leadership & Collaboration: Hired and mentored three engineers, managed two remote contractors, and collaborated with sales and data analysts to develop the company’s order synchronization and product content management services.
Technologies: PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, ASP, C#, MSSQL, SSIS, AWS, Linux, Magento.
